  • Journalists In Bhaktapur Receives both doses of the Chinese vaccine Verocell

    journalists in Bhaktapur have received both doses of the Chinese vaccine Verocell. On Thursday, they are given a second dose of the Chinese vaccine Verocell against covid 19.

    Journalists of Bhaktapur have been vaccinated on the initiative of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bhaktapur. Secretary Sanjeep Ghimire said that the program of vaccinating to all the journalists has been successfully completed. He informed that the vaccination program was conducted on Thursday with the help of District Health Office, Katunje and Katunje Health Post. He has also requested to inform the journalists who missed the vaccination due to various circumstances. According to Secretary Ghimire, the FNJ Bhaktapur has 197 members.

    journalist from Bhaktapur were given the first dose of Verocell on 10th of Asar. The first dose was given at the Chyamasingh Public Health Center of Bhaktapur Municipality and the second dose is given at the Katunje Health Center of Suryabinayak Municipality on Thursday.

    Chairman Jagat Krishna Prajapati has stated that the FNJ Bhaktapur has taken the initiative to vaccinate the journalists to save their lives after a dozen journalists from Bhaktapur had to go to the hospital due to covid 19 infection. Dilip Thapa Magar, former central vice-president of the federation and a television journalist who is also a member of FNJ Bhaktapur, after receiving the vaccine said that it is a commendable act of the district . Similarly, Kavita Thapa, a former women vice-president of Bhaktapur branch and a photojournalist of Gorkhapatra, said that vaccination has strengthened the self-confidence of a journalist who have to work in the field. On this occasion,  Vice President Sundar Silpkar, Joint Secretary Hemraj Dhakal, Founder President Ramesh Khadka, Former Presidents Vikal Shrestha and Amar Bhuju as well as Senior Journalists Jeevan Dhungana, Ratna Shrestha, Krishna Prajapati, Jitendra Rasik, RC Prajapati and others were also present. The journalists have expressed satisfaction over the current working committee saying that they have succeeded in vaccinating their members to save their lives during the epidemic.The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Bhaktapur has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the vaccine to the Nepal government, government of Chine, Bagmati province Government, District Health Office Chief Krishna Mijar, Vaccination Officer Prem Shrestha similarly chairperson of katunje health post Mr Rajkumar Joshi, senior heath officer KP adhikari, Samjhana neupane Dr. Lasiba of Public Health Center Chyamasingh.
