Candidates standing for the post of the National Assembly (NA) members have stepped up their election publicity after obtaining election symbol today.

The election offices set up in all seven provinces for the NA poll scheduled for February 7 had granted election symbols to the candidates today.

Altogether 52 candidates are in NA election fray for 32 posts in seven provinces. According to election calendar, time was allocated up to 2.00 pm today for the candidates to withdraw their nomination.

Citing reference of the office of election officer, the Election Commission shared the information that 24 candidates have been elected unopposed in the election to be held for 56 posts.
