As many as 20 embattled Nepali employees working at Kharafi National Company of Kuwait have been rescued and sent to Nepal.
The Nepali Embassy in Kuwait, in coordination with the Company, rescued the employees and sent them to Nepal by arranging air tickets from the relief fund received from Foreign Employment Promotion Board.
Earlier, the Embassy took the initiative to send some 17 employees of the same Company whose residential visa was not renewed since long by completing the immigration process of Kuwait.
Similarly, the Sindhupalchowk Sewa Samaaj, Dalit Ekata Sanjal, Lumbini Samaaj, Kalyankari Yuba Samaaj and a committee formed to provide support to the Nepali people facing trouble in the Company collected financial resources to send two Nepali workers in trouble to their home.
In addition, the Embassy also took the initiative to rescue and send two other Nepali workers in Qatar home.
Some 94 Nepali workers had submitted applications to the Embassy seeking its support to renewal of resident visa and arrangement of salary from the Kharafi National Company.
So far total 61 Nepali workers facing trouble in Kuwait have been rescued and sent to the home country. The Embassy is trying to return other Nepalis who have come across different problems due to visa and work in Kuwait.
