President Bidya Devi Bhandari has opined for reviewing the government investment on educational sectors with the evaluation of its result. She stressed on revising policy and programmes to produce better results.
While inaugurating a golden jubilee programme of local Jana Kalyan Secondary School at Thaha Municipality in the district Sunday, President Bhandari said quality manpower could be produced after making the school independent.
According to the Head of the State, the country should always be committed to providing quality education to all, as it is one of the robust pillars of development.
President Bhandari expressed happiness over her inaugurating a science laboratory in the school premises on the occasion of the golden jubilee reaching at the area of social campaigner and pioneer of ‘Thaha campaign’, Rup Chandra Bista. Leader Bista had introduced Thaha campaign to help ensure rights of lower class people in the society through information.
“It is a matter of pleasure the municipality is named Thaha linking the philosophy of the late Bista,” she observed, urging the concerned to develop the Daman-Palung Valley as the tourist destination. Country was making head to prosperity, she reminded.
On the occasion, member of federal parliament Birodh Khatiwada and member of provincial parliament Kumari Moktan expressed their views.
Former Headmaster at the school Shivraj Sharma among others were feted in the programme.
